How We Got Here
In 1989 Tec Art Industries was established with a vision of revolutionizing business signage. Tec Art offered a plastic light box with generic titles that would glow like neon at a fraction of the cost. We perfected a proprietary ink formula that, when applied to acrylic face panels and back-lit with fluorescent bulbs, would glow like neon - branding it TecNeon. Available in two sizes, these single sided 13"x24" and 18"x18" light boxes became a big hit.
Soon, major corporations were calling to have Tec Art put their names in light. The line expanded to 10 different sign sizes and we introduced the TecTwo - a plastic double-sided light box. A few years later, through an acquisition, Tec Art was able to expand into light weight aluminum light boxes. Both the Alumitec Elite - an all aluminum light box that has our quick change snap frame – and the AlumiTec – a more price sensitive item with an aluminum frame and plastic molded corners – light boxes added strength to the line and positioned Tec Art as one of the premier manufacturers of fluorescent lighted signs. In addition, we added the manufacturing of our still popular Alumitec Elite "Quick Change Poster Frames". Our claim to fame is that all of these products allow the end user to change the graphic panels without the use of any tools.
Over the years we have continued to expand the number and types of products we offer our customers. Today, 20 years later, Tec Art is much more than a light box company. We have grown to be a valuable partner to our customers due to our ability to be a one stop shop for point of purchase signage and displays. We have added the ability to offer banners, metal tacker signs, poster and banner stands, custom floor mats, counter stools, LED edge lit signs, outdoor advertising flags, logo clocks and custom acrylic displays.
Our Customer Service team and knowledgeable sales staff, along with the ability to deliver products on time, has made Tec Art a leader in the point of purchase advertisement industry. To remain a leader in our industry, we are committed to staying in the forefront of new technologies. We are putting an emphasis on helping our Customers in their sustainability efforts by, among other things, offering a wide variety of LED lighted products. We are aggressively executing our strategy of introducing a continuous flow of new, innovative, high quality products that will offer the best value for our Customers’ marketing dollars.
Located in Wixom, MI, Tec Art’s manufacturing and distribution center is central to most shipping points in the US, which ensures fast, cost effective shipping for both common carriers and small package freight.
We have the demonstrated ability to ship both large and small orders equally efficiently, as well as acting as a “fulfillment house” by holding dedicated inventory and shipping against daily and/or weekly placed product reorders.
Most of our non-custom items are held in stock for immediate shipment and custom products can be held the same way. Our goal is to provide the products that our Customers want, when they want them, and in the way that they want to receive them.
Tec Art boasts an in-house design department to assist our customers in realizing their marketing vision, along with minimizing lead times and costs. Whether it be simply showing what a brand logo would look like when printed onto any of our products, or working with customer provided art to create a signage solution, our design department is ready to bring your brand to life. We have the ability to either screen print or digitally print on many different substrates and media in order to achieve the best look for each marketing piece we produce.
Customer Service is the cornerstone of our business. It begins with our Account Managers and carries through every touch point in our organization. Our Account Managers are dedicated to a particular industry, which allows them to become experts in the marketing, POP material and signage needs of a specific market. They understand the sales environment our products play in and can make educated recommendations on what will work in a particular situation. They are trained in a consultative sales approach. They ask questions to get to the heart of the challenges facing their Customers and then use this knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions. Their goal is not just to sell a product, but to create long term relationships and ensure that our product solutions exceed our Customers’ expectations.
Our project managers are the other key touch point of our Customer Service team. Their mission is to make sure that every customer’s project is executed perfectly every time and on time. They work as a liaison between the Customer and our designers, engineers and production manager. Not only do they provide project tracking, they are also innovative problem solvers. They are the Customer Advocate and make sure that all internal parties are meeting our Customers’ requirements and exceeding our Customers’ expectations.
