Artwork Requirements

Image

Transparency

Supply cropping information, making sure that it is proportional to finished size.

If using a black background or black borders, be sure that when it is enlarged it will fit the required dimensions.

Include color correction instructions, if needed.

Digital Images Supplied on Disk or E-mailed

Image must be a minimum of 300 p.p.i. at minimum of 100% final sizing or larger for best resolution.

When creating your artwork, we usually suggest a black border, if you have a lighter colored background. The black border should be built into the file. This will alleviate any additional art charges that might be incurred. We do have a border template to use, but it is not always compatible with your file. Also, with both the black background and black borders, give more than what is required. (i.e. Give a 13" x 24" sign with ¾ inch black borders, two inch black borders). The "extra" border will be eliminated when we die cut the face panel.

Images can be in tiff, jpeg, Photoshop, eps, Illustrator or pdf formats.

Digital Art

You must supply color output with PMS colors marked. All printer and screen fonts should be provided on the same disk.

Illustrator files - all type must be outlined

Freehand files - use 'create paths' command to outline type

Quark, PageMaker, and Power Points - all need to be redrawn in Illustrator to convert to RGB files

Corel Draw - Use 'create curves' command to outline type. Save files as Corel Draw 12 or lower

Note: It is best to provide us with files as close to the finished product as possible. This will save you time and money. When files are imaged to negative or transparency, there are some colors that do not translate well to photographic output.

To format artwork for FlexiSIGN for PC

It is important that you include a printed hard copy or email a pdf or jpg file of what your artwork should look like. This is necessary to match what is on the disk to what you actually want produced.

It is essential that you provide the file name of the artwork that you wish us to use.

Vector artwork (not raster or bitmap) is required for use with our sign making program. Vector artwork is created in programs like Corel DRAW, Illustrator, Freehand, etc.

Paint programs like Photoshop, PC Paintbrush, MAC paint, etc. are bitmap oriented and we cannot work with these files because they do not provide the vectored color separation lines necessary to produce our screen printed signs.

Colors may be imported into our program differently than you specified. Please Provide Pantone(PMS) Colors if available.

General Requirements

All text must be converted to paths.
Color separations must be solid.
Specify PMS# for each color.
